Wendell's notes Tuesday morning, we awoke at 7:30 AM with an extreme case of deja-vu, and enjoyed breakfast on the lanai, listening to the exotic birds of Kauai and the white noise of the surf rolling into the beach 100 yards away. After breakfast, we headed off for dive training with Demo Dave - Tracy for her basic SCUBA skills training and Sean and Wendell for the advanced training of underwater knife fighting and demolitions.

On Dive #1 the divemaster (Paul) found two octopi hunkered down in a cave. Sean and Paul managed to coax them out into the open water where one of them promptly wrapped itself around Wendell's head (with the express purpose of cracking through Wendell's facemask and eating his eyeballs.) Luckily Paul was able to extricate both Wendell and the octopus without harm to either.

We asked Demo Dave how he could "fly out the harvest at night" and dive during the day without getting bent in the airplane. He explained that he only flies a few hundred feet above the surface, thus eliminating the possibility of getting bent.
